Ben is the coach of the Mount Desert Island tennis team and acts as property manager/caretaker in the off season.
Bob Christie - Tennis Professional
Bob enters his 26th year as Head Professional at the Club. Having played competitively from California to Maine at a high level, Bob turned his focus to raising his family on the coast of Maine and creating a holistic approach to teaching tennis to all levels of individuals. The Causeway members, families and their guests have benefited from Bob's approach and counsel. Bob's role in our organization may better be termed "steward".
Crafton Dicus - Assistant Tennis Professional
Crafton returns to the Club for his third season as assistant, fresh from the active Charleston, SC tennis scene. Crafton headed the municipal program at Moultrie Park after graduating from College of Charleston and the Van der Meere Tennis University. We are excited to add Crafton's experience, enthusiasm and fresh approach to tennis. Much like Bob, Crafton takes a holistic view of his sport and uses his worldly experiences in Hawaii, Spain, Costa Rica, and the Virgin Islands to help round one's game and life perspective.
